Overview

Display Player is the engine that puts scores on the screen. It is a native application — DirectX 12 on Windows, Metal on macOS, Vulkan on Linux, GLES on Android and embedded ARM players — that renders scoreboard layouts, video, animations, and live camera feeds directly to your LED processor at full frame rate. It ingests live game data from scoring consoles, runs unattended in kiosk mode with a supervisor that restarts it if anything goes wrong, and auto-dims with ambient light schedules. One renderer drives everything: the production output, previews, and thumbnails all come from the same GPU pipeline, so what you see in the designer is exactly what the board shows.
